Our global Engineering team is evolving to maintain Carrier's lead position in the market through investments in advanced materials, novel manufacturing processes, data center transformation, and conversion to low GWP refrigerants. As part of this transformation, we are hiring and empowering a systems chemistry technician to help us innovate and pursue sustainable solutions for our customers.

Key Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a systems chemistry technician for the Advanced Materials Engineering team at Carrier include:
- With provided training, operating analytical chemistry equipment performing titration, spectroscopy, and chromatography.
- Prepare samples for testing using wet chemistry lab techniques.
- Receive direction for work processes, priority of assignments, and expected completion dates from AME colleagues. Provide timely feedback on progress; raise issues regarding resource constraints; and demonstrate capability to track and manage parallel workflows.
- Work with engineers and peers to ensure a collaborative and productive environment.
- Maintain a safe working environment, helping to develop safety procedures and ensuring adherence to all safety and PPE requirements.
Role Purpose
- Work with a small team of experts to characterize, test, and qualify materials for durable system operations
- Be on the leading edge of technology implementation into the HVACR industry as higher efficiency, higher capacity, and low/no GWP systems are introduced into the market
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in a chemical laboratory or processing plant and/or related R&D.
- 5+ years of experience directly handling chemicals in a laboratory or production setting including solvents, acids, and bases.
- Willing and able to travel domestically for training 1 to 2 weeks per year.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate of Science in chemistry or chemical engineering technology.
- Experience working with refrigerants or other pressurized gases.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
