About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and personable bilingual HR Assistant (Spanish/English) to support a busy Human Resources team across multiple manufacturing facilities. The role is based in Burlington, NC. This role is temp to hire, fully on-site. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both administrative work and employee interaction. The HR Assistant will play a key role in onboarding, employee communications, HR administration, and employee engagement initiatives while helping ensure a positive employee experience.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, comfortable handling confidential information, and eager to learn and grow within Human Resources. This individual will serve as a resource for employees on the production floor while supporting day-to-day HR operations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and employee offboarding processes.
  • Create employee badges and set up new hires in company systems.
  • Monitor and track pre-employment screening progress.
  • Communicate with candidates and new hires throughout the onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Schedule monthly town hall meetings and assist with presentation preparation.
  • Conduct new hire feedback and listening sessions to gather employee insights.
  • Provide administrative support for HR programs, projects, and initiatives.
  • Serve as a visible HR presence on the production floor and build positive relationships with employees.
  • Respond to employee questions and direct concerns to the appropriate HR team members.
  • Support employee engagement activities and company events.
  • Assist with process improvements and additional HR-related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration preferred.
  • At least 2 years of Human Resources experience, including onboarding, employee relations support, recruiting coordination, benefits administration, or HR administration.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or production environment required.
  • Experience supporting large employee populations across multiple locations.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn.
  • Engaging and approachable personality.
  • Professional maturity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to understand how HR processes connect and impact the overall employee experience.
  • Comfortable balancing employee interaction with maintaining productivity and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take ownership of projects.
  • Desire to grow professionally and pursue future opportunities within Human Resources.
  • Examples of taking on additional responsibilities, leading initiatives, or going above and beyond in previous roles are highly valued.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
