Collections Analyst
LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Collections Analyst, for a permanent opportunity, working in an office, for a company in the Westend of Richmond,VA.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Collections Analyst to manage assigned customer accounts, collect past-due balances, resolve billing and credit issues, and partner with internal teams to reduce financial risk. This full-time role is well suited for a customer-focused professional with strong problem-solving, communication, and account reconciliation skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage assigned accounts and collect past-due balances.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on outstanding cash-on-delivery balances.
• Respond to customer and internal inquiries, process payments, and resolve billing, credit, and account reconciliation issues.
• Review lien waivers for accurate legal language and alignment with accounting records.
• Partner with sales and credit teams to assess large projects and reduce account risk.
• Prepare demand letters, determine when accounts should be referred to outside collections, and assist with dispute resolution.
Qualifications
• High school diploma and at least two years of related experience; a bachelor's degree is a plus but not required.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to reconcile accounting records with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
