About the Role

We are seeking experienced General Counsels to join a 1-month AI Fellowship designed for senior legal professionals interested in shaping the future of legal AI. This opportunity is ideal for experts with deep experience in SaaS contract review, negotiation, and redlining who want to contribute to how advanced AI systems are trained, evaluated, and applied in real-world legal workflows.
As a participant in this fellowship, you will play a direct role in improving next-generation legal AI systems by simulating real-world contract scenarios and providing expert feedback to enhance model accuracy, risk assessment, and legal reasoning.
Requirements
What You'll Do
Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises, assessing AI-generated suggestions for accuracy, risk identification, and legal soundness
Review AI-generated responses to contract scenarios and provide structured, actionable feedback to improve performance
Evaluate outputs related to SaaS agreements, identifying gaps, risks, and inconsistencies
Collaborate with product and research teams to refine training data, annotation frameworks, and best practices for AI-driven contract review systems
Contribute to the development of high-quality datasets that improve legal AI precision and reliability
Required Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Minimum 3+ years of in-house legal experience, with a focus on technology transactions
Strong expertise in SaaS contract review, negotiation, and redlining
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate legal judgment into structured feedback
Interest in the intersection of law, technology, and AI
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
Prior exposure to AI, legal tech, or data annotation projects
Deep understanding of risk mitigation strategies in SaaS contracting
Contributions to legal tech through publications, speaking engagements, or research
Compensation & Commitment
Compensation: $80–$105 per hour
Engagement Type: Part-time, contract
Weekly Commitment: 5–20 hours (flexible schedule)
Duration: 1 month
