About the Role

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Full-Time
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate and dispatch construction crews and equipment to job sites. This role is responsible for keeping crews informed, organized, and on schedule while ensuring that equipment, personnel, and job-site needs are communicated effectively.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of construction, heavy equipment, or field operations is helpful but not required - we are willing to train the right person.
Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch construction crews, operators, and equipment to job sites based on project needs and schedules.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with field crews, supervisors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate daily schedules and make adjustments as priorities or job-site conditions change.
  • Track crew locations, equipment availability, assignments, and job status.
  • Follow up on open requests, schedule changes, and outstanding issues to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records, logs, and documentation.
Identify scheduling or resource conflicts and communicate them promptly.
  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong follow-through and the ability to take ownership of tasks from start to finish.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with field employees, supervisors, customers, and management.
  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn scheduling/dispatch software.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Construction or heavy equipment knowledge is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous dispatching, logistics, construction, transportation, or field-service experience is helpful but not required.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is organized, responsive, accountable, and proactive. The successful candidate understands that effective dispatching is about more than assigning crews - it requires constant communication, attention to detail, and strong follow-through to keep operations running smoothly.
If you are someone who enjoys coordinating people and resources, solving problems, and keeping things moving, we want to hear from you.
