Job Purpose: The Associate Environmental Consultant will be responsible for leading and managing complex environmental and social projects across Africa, with a specific focus on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) processes in Egypt. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong experience in ESIA methodologies, regulatory frameworks, international best practices, particularly those applicable to Egypt and broader North African contexts. The candidate should also have experience working with the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA).
In this role, the Associate Environmental Consultant will oversee multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of all project deliverables. Key responsibilities include the coordination and preparation of ESIA reports, facilitation of public and stakeholder engagement processes, consultation with regulatory authorities, overseeing the translation of documents and overall project administration, management and client liaison.
The role requires a proactive, solutions-driven individual with demonstrated experience in managing large-scale environmental and social projects, engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with both national and international standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, World Bank Safeguards).
