Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Compensation: Approximately $70,000 for Experienced Staff and $85,000 for Senior-level professionals, with flexibility based on experience.

Our client, a highly respected and growing public accounting firm in Oklahoma City, is seeking an Experienced Staff or Senior Assurance Accountant to join its Assurance team. What You'll Do
Own the Work

• Lead and assist with audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Work with clients across industries including manufacturing, energy, nonprofit, healthcare, professional services, government, and more.
• Execute audit procedures and prepare high-quality workpapers and documentation.

Be the Go-To

• Serve as a primary contact for clients and engagement teams.
• Provide proactive communication, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional client service.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.

Bring the Insights

• Analyze financial statements, internal controls, and accounting processes.
• Identify risks, ensure compliance, and provide practical recommendations.
• Help clients better understand their financial information and business performance.

Coach Future Talent

• Review work prepared by staff and interns.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to junior team members.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Work Smart

• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
• Utilize technology and digital tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Balance multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines.

Continue Growing

• Stay current with GAAP, auditing standards, and industry developments.
• Participate in professional development and assurance training opportunities.
• Contribute ideas that improve processes and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA preferred.
• Experienced Staff: 2+ years of recent public accounting assurance/audit experience.
• Senior: 3-5+ years of recent public accounting assurance/audit experience.
• Strong understanding of auditing standards, GAAP, and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead projects, manage deadlines, and deliver exceptional client service.
• Comfortable working in a technology-driven environment.
• Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
