Description Location: Remote
The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for defining how Frontline communicates the value of its products and platform to the market. This role owns the translation of product strategy into clear, compelling narratives that drive customerunderstanding, adoption, and business outcomes.
Operating within Frontline's empowered product model, this role serves as the strategic bridge between Product and Go-To-Market teams. You will partner closely with Product Management, Product Design, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure alignment between what we build, how we package it, and how we communicate its value.
You will play a critical role in shaping and scaling Frontline's "Better Together" platform narrative, ensuring our products are understood not only individually, but as part of a cohesive, connected ecosystem. Key Responsibilities • Own product positioning, messaging, and value propositions across Frontline's offerings. • Define and maintain the source-of-truth product narrative, including ICP, value drivers, differentiation, and competitive framing. • Translate product strategy and capabilities into clear, customer-centered language that resonates with K-12 buyers. • Shape and evolve the "Better Together" platform narrative, ensuring consistency across products and go-to-market channels. • Develop core storytelling frameworks including product narrative, pitch narrative, and demo narrative. Go-To-Market Strategy & Launch Leadership • Define go-to-market strategy for new products, features, and packaging changes in partnership with Product leadership. • Own launch narratives and messaging, ensuring alignment across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. • Ensure launches are grounded in validated customer problems and tied to measurable outcomes. • Partner with Enablement and Marketing to ensure readiness across messaging, training, and execution.
Cross-Functional Alignment • Act as the primary connector between Product, Design, and Go-To-Market teams, ensuring shared understanding of customer problems and product value. • Partner with Product Management to ensure messaging reflects product strategy, roadmap priorities, and customer outcomes. • Collaborate with Packaging & Pricing to ensure value is clearly communicated through structure and positioning. • Influence cross-functional priorities through clear articulation of market opportunity and customer impact.
Customer, Market & Competitive Insight • Lead synthesis of market, customer, and competitive insights to inform positioning and messaging. • Define ICP and segmentation frameworks that guide both product and go-to-market decisions. • Maintain competitive intelligence and translate insights into actionable narrative and positioning updates. • Partner with Product and Design to ensure discovery insights are reflected in how we tell the story.
Enablement & Value Communication • Enable Sales and Customer Success teams with clear, compelling ways to communicate product value. • Partner with Enablement to ensure messaging is translated into playbooks, training, and customer-facing materials. • Support strategic deals and customer conversations by reinforcing value, differentiation, and positioning. • Ensure alignment between messaging, packaging, and customer expectations across the lifecycle. Measurement & Continuous Improvement • Define and track success metrics for product marketing, including adoption, conversion, pipeline contribution, and revenue impact. • Use data and experimentation to refine messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy. • Maintain a closed feedback loop between Sales, Customer Success, and Product to continuously improve narrative effectiveness. • Communicate insights and trade-offs clearly to product and executive leadership. What Success Looks Like • Frontline's product and platform value is clearly understood and differentiated in the market. • The "Better Together" narrative is consistently reflected across product experience and go-to-market messaging. • Product launches drive measurable impact in adoption, engagement, and revenue. • Sales and Customer Success teams are confident and consistent in how they communicate value. • Messaging is grounded in real customer insight and continuously improved through data and feedback. • Product, PMM, and GTM teams operate with clear ownership, alignment, and closed feedback loops.
Qualifications & Attributes • 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing experience, specifically in B2B SaaS organizations • Proven success owning positioning and go-to-market strategy that drives measurable business outcomes. • Strong strategic thinking and ability to connect product capabilities to customer value and market opportunity. • Exceptional storytelling skills, both written and visual, with the ability to influence across levels. • Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic partner to Product and executive stakeholders. • Strong customer empathy and experience translating insight into actionable messaging. • Familiarity with modern product practices, including empowered teams and continuous discovery. • AI experience is a plus; AI curiosity is a must, including interest in how AI can improve insight generation, messaging, and go-to-market effectiveness. Compensation & Benefits The base compensation range for this position is between $180,000 and $210,000.
