Job Summary of Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Testing and Servicing all Kitchen and Industrial Fire Suppression Systems, Fire Extinguishers, Exit and Emergency Lighting and Other Fire Equipment
- Perform inspections, service, and repair of equipment at customer locations
- Systems serviced will include fire suppression systems
- Utilization of hand and electronic tools. Use of ladders and moderate lifting
- Responsible for company issued inventory and tools
- Reports and documentation must be completed in accordance with company procedures and practices
- Complete Annual and Semi Annual inspections of all types and models of Kitchen Fire Systems
- Identify, repair and service kitchen fire systems to NFPA 17A and industry standards
- Daily communication with management, the office and fellow technicians
- After normal business hours service calls and scheduled weekend services (when required)
Qualifications:
- Ability to use and maintain a vehicle hopper
- Knowledge of and understanding of NFPA 10
- Previous Fire Inspection experience (required)
- Must possess a Nicet or CSA Certification (or the ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Clean DMV driving record (required)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must provide your own hand tools. (Specialty tool will be provided)
- Ability to work flexible hours (required)
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position includes primarily field time. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Lifting will include up to 40 pounds. Extensive use of a personal computer and tablet is required. Use of hand and power tools is required on occasion
