Logistics Specialist LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Logistics Specialist with at least 3 years of experience working in a similar role. This is Temporary opportunity located in Manhattan, NY. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate international ocean, air, and parcel shipments from origin through final delivery, ensuring timely movement across global supply chains.
- Collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, freight providers, and transportation partners to resolve shipment issues and maintain consistent communication.
- Analyze transportation options and recommend the most effective solutions based on service requirements, transit times, capacity availability, and overall cost.
- Monitor shipment milestones and maintain visibility on cargo readiness, departure schedules, transit progress, and delivery commitments.
- Evaluate routing opportunities, consolidation strategies, and load optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce transportation expenses.
- Track carrier performance, transit reliability, and capacity trends to support informed transportation planning.
- Generate reports and provide regular updates regarding shipment status, transportation performance, exceptions, and operational metrics.
- Identify and escalate potential service disruptions before they impact business operations, proactively developing alternative transportation plans when necessary.
- Investigate and resolve transportation challenges including booking constraints, delays, missed departures, routing exceptions, and in-transit issues.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Logistics or Supply Chain experience
Work Site: Onsite Employment Type: Temporary Salary: $27-32/hr
Pay Details: $27.00 to $32.00 per hour
