About the Role

Medical Receptionist | Kearny Mesa, San Diego, CA
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a well-known healthcare organization in Kearny Mesa. This is a full-time opportunity for a customer-focused professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment and providing exceptional service to patients. The schedule requires full open availability Monday-Sunday between 6:00 AM and 10:30 PM, with employees working five 8-hour shifts per week.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in patients while providing a welcoming and professional experience
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Answer high-volume incoming calls and assist patients with questions
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation
  • Enter and maintain accurate patient information in electronic medical records and scheduling systems
  • Collect copays, payments, and other patient account information as needed
  • Coordinate with medical staff, providers, and other departments to support efficient patient flow
  • Assist with referrals, authorizations, and other administrative healthcare processes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients
Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience in a medical receptionist, front desk, clerical, or customer service role preferred
  • Healthcare or medical office experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) or scheduling systems is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive patient information
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Must have full open availability Monday-Sunday between 6:00 AM and 10:30 PM.
  • Must be available to work five 8-hour shifts per week, including weekends as scheduled
