About the Role

Payroll Clerk
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 to 5 onsite
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll information with a high degree of accuracy
  • Review employee time records, attendance data, and payroll entries for completeness
  • Enter payroll-related information into payroll and HR systems
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving pay, hours worked, deductions, or employee records
  • Maintain payroll files and supporting documentation in accordance with company guidelines
  • Assist with employee questions regarding pay statements, deductions, and payroll procedures
  • Support new hire setup, employee record updates, and payroll-related changes
  • Verify payroll calculations, adjustments, bonuses, and other compensation transactions
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with audits as needed
  • Partner with accounting, human resources, and management teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in payroll administration, payroll support, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role
  • Understanding of payroll processes, wage calculations, and employee record maintenance
  • Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with payroll software, HRIS platforms, or ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with payroll platforms such as ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, or similar systems
  • Familiarity with payroll taxes, deductions, benefits administration, and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting multi-state or high-volume payroll operations
