LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale engineering and capital investment projects within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing projects from concept through completion, coordinating cross-functional teams, controlling budgets and timelines, and ensuring successful execution of strategic capital expenditure initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering foundation, excellent project leadership skills, and demonstrated experience delivering complex manufacturing projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and capital projects from initial planning through commissioning and project closeout.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource requirements.
- Manage all phases of project execution including scope definition, design, procurement, construction, installation, startup, and validation.
- Coordinate activities among engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, safety, supply chain, contractors, and external vendors.
- Monitor project performance against timelines, budgets, and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while implementing corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
- Oversee capital expenditure budgets and ensure responsible financial management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage equipment installations, facility expansions, process improvements, and manufacturing optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and applicable industry requirements.
- Lead project meetings, document decisions, and drive accountability among project team members.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure project requirements are met.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on operational efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related engineering discipline required).
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects from conception through successful completion.
- Proven experience managing large capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, processes, and equipment.
- Experience developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with facility expansions, equipment installations, or manufacturing automation projects.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience working with contractors, engineering firms, and capital equipment suppliers.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems, ERP platforms, and industrial safety standards.

Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
