Our Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Rehab Department where you will be responsible for:
What You Will Be Doing:
- Performs activities that maintain and restore function and prevent complications and further loss.
- Collaborates with the patient/family/significant other and other members of the rehabilitation team to formulate a plan of care that includes patient self-care deficits, nursing interventions and expected outcomes
- Monitoring the changes in the patients’ condition including the recording and reporting of symptoms, assessing vital signs and intervening when appropriate.
- Supporting the culture of quality with delivery of quality nursing care to decrease potential harm to other patients and peers
- Participating actively in UTHET’s performance improvement process as it relates to nursing practices and procedures
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions
- Interacting with co-workers and other hospital staff, guests and patients providing outstanding customer service
- The Registered Nurse is a professional care giver who uses the nursing process to provide patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
- The Rehabilitation RN performs activities that maintain and restore function and prevent complications and further loss.
- Assess the physical, psychological and social status appropriate to the age of the patients served in a systematic and continuous manner to identify self care abilities and learning needs.
- Collaborates with the patient/family/significant other and other members of the rehabilitation team to formulate a plan of care that includes patient self care deficits, nursing interventions and expected outcomes.
- Provides nursing care and patient/family education with respect and caring, utilizing clinical knowledge necessary to implement the plan of care according to approved standards of care and practice.
- Evaluates patient’s response to plan of care through assessment of appropriateness and effectiveness of interventions using a continuous quality improvement approach.
- Modifies the plan as necessary to achieve optimum outcomes.
- Strives for continuous self development in rehabilitation nursing and interpersonal skills to provide customer service utilizing a professional presentation, effective communication and technical knowledge as representatives of UTHET.
- Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for ongoing unit operations to ensure optimum function of the organization.
