About the Role

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for a growing organization located in Cedar Park, Texas. This is a fully onsite opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in cost accounting, project accounting, job costing, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable partnering with operations to ensure accurate project financial reporting and profitability analysis.
Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 annually
Location: Cedar Park, TX (Fully Onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Responsibilities
  • Manage project accounting activities from project setup through closeout.
  • Perform detailed job costing analysis and monitor project profitability.
  • Track costs, labor, materials, and overhead allocations across multiple projects.
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Analyze project variances and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Work closely with operations and project managers to monitor budgets and forecast project performance.
  • Assist with inventory and cost accounting functions, including cost allocations and standard cost analysis.
  • Maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant exposure to cost accounting and project accounting.
  • Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and project profitability analysis.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, industrial services, or project-based environments highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling.
  • Experience working within an ERP system.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.
  • Experience with revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting.
