Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 + bonus eligibility

Position Overview
The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and executing commercial construction projects. This role is highly detail-oriented and requires strong communication, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage documentation, procurement, project schedules, and subcontractor coordination.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to grow into higher leadership roles within the project team.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination from pre-construction through closeout.

Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.

Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely delivery.

Track RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project documentation.

Support Superintendent with field coordination and quality control tasks.

Attend project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes.

Monitor project progress and prepare weekly reports.

Work closely with subcontractors to resolve technical and scheduling issues.

Conduct site walks to document progress, verify work, and identify discrepancies.

Assist in developing punch lists and closeout documentation.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

1–3 years of experience in commercial construction (internships accepted).

Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and technical documents.

Proficiency with project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid).

Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in Excel and basic project budgeting principles.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with commercial or multifamily ground-up construction.

Understanding of sequencing, scheduling, and site logistics.

Exposure to RFIs, submittals, and change management.

E.I.T. certification or interest in obtaining one.

Ability to work directly with field leadership to resolve issues.
