About this opportunity
This is a talent pool application, not a role with an immediate start date.
Our open pools cover the areas where we have demand today. But the projects we take on change constantly, and the next one may be in a field we have never recruited for: education, agriculture, architecture, logistics, journalism, translation, a trade, a craft, an industry most people have never had to think about.
This application exists so that expertise does not get lost just because there is no pool for it yet. Tell us what you actually know how to do, and we will come back to you when a project needs it.
Please apply to a specific pool if one matches your field. A specific application is always reviewed against criteria built for that domain, which gives you a better chance of being matched. Use this one only when nothing else fits.
What this work typically looks like
Projects vary enormously depending on the needs of our AI partners, but the shape of the work is consistent. Typical work may include:
- Evaluating whether an AI system's reasoning about a problem in your field is actually correct.
- Reviewing AI-generated answers, analyses or decisions for accuracy and completeness.
- Identifying errors that sound plausible to a layperson but are obviously wrong to a professional.
- Designing realistic scenarios and test cases from your own domain.
- Creating evaluation criteria and rubrics that separate strong answers from weak ones.
- Reviewing work produced by other professionals against those rubrics.
This is expert, task-based work performed remotely and asynchronously. What we are buying is your professional judgment, whatever field it comes from.
Requirements
- Real, hands-on professional experience in some field — any field.
- At least one verifiable signal of that experience.
- Comfortable reading and writing in English.
- Able to explain your own reasoning clearly in writing.
We are not looking for people who are generally capable. We are looking for people who are specifically good at something, where that something does not yet have a pool of its own.
Who can apply
Anyone with genuine professional depth in a field not covered by our other openings. Some examples, among many others:
- Teachers, professors and instructional designers.
- Engineers in civil, electrical, chemical, industrial and other disciplines.
- Architects and urban planners.
- Agronomists and agricultural specialists.
- Logistics, supply chain and operations professionals.
- Journalists, editors, writers and translators.
- Designers and creative professionals.
- Skilled trades and technical specialists.
- Public sector and policy professionals.
- Anyone whose field simply is not on this list.
What matters most is that you know something well and can show it.
Selection process
Phase 1 — Talent Pool Application
Complete this application, telling us clearly what your field is and what you have done in it. There are no interviews at this stage.
Phase 2 — Project Selection
When a project matching your profile becomes available, we will contact you with the complete scope, expected workload, compensation, and timeline. Depending on the project, you may be asked to complete a short exercise designed to resemble the actual work. Because this pool covers every field at once, matching may take longer than for a specific pool. Staying in it costs you nothing.
Compensation
Compensation is defined separately for each project and is communicated before you decide whether to participate. Projects are generally paid per approved task, with payment converted to your local currency where applicable. Rates vary based on the complexity of the project and the level of expertise required.
