The Opportunity
You will serve as a key project leader driving high-performing commercial solar installations from initial estimate through completion. This role grants you direct ownership over in-house crews and project logistics while delivering high-quality, code-compliant solar solutions across Maryland. How You Will Make an Impact
- Supervise and mentor in-house installation crews and subcontractors to execute commercial solar construction safely and efficiently.
- Oversee complete project lifecycles to ensure installations are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to customer standards.
- Review electrical plans, create detailed material take-offs, and produce accurate project estimates.
- Perform site safety inspections and measurement verifications to maintain strict code compliance and quality standards.
- Coordinate directly with clients and sales teams to reconfigure designs and process change orders effectively.
- Monitor daily site labor efficiencies and enforce OSHA safety practices across all active jobsites.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in solar, electrical, or commercial construction.
- Direct experience managing in-house labor crews rather than solely managing subcontractors.
- Strong technical background in reading and interpreting electrical plans, specifications, and NEC codes.
- Demonstrated track record of successful construction project leadership and crew management.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices.
- Proficiency in office software including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation tools.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Background with strong electrical expertise in commercial environments.
- Prior hands-on experience specific to commercial solar design and construction.
- Proven track record of managing project change orders, take-offs, and cost estimation workflows.
