The Opportunity:
As an experienced member of an authorized Butler Builder® team, you will execute the installation of elite Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) systems with technical precision. This role offers the chance to elevate your trade skills within a stable, family-oriented culture focused on safety and specialized growth. You will play a direct role in building Northern Ohio's industrial infrastructure on projects designed to stand the test of time.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Perform advanced structural assembly and precision installation of steel frames, girts, and purlins for pre-engineered metal buildings.
- Install wall and roof panel systems with exceptional accuracy to ensure absolute weatherproofing and structural integrity.
- Operate specialized machinery, including aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers, to execute elevated tasks safely.
- Maintain rigorous safety standards by actively participating in daily job site protocols and strictly utilizing Fall Protection equipment.
- Direct material handling operations and organize job site inventory to optimize daily crew productivity.
- Solve daily field assembly challenges while delivering high-quality workmanship in diverse outdoor weather conditions.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in construction, steel erection, or metal building assembly.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven expertise reading structural blueprints and blueprints-based tape measurements.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. and work comfortably at heights or in mobile positions for extended shifts.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to ensure timely attendance across regional job sites.
- Possession of required field workwear, specifically work pants and steel-toed boots.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience working on commercial or industrial Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) job sites.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; trade school or carpentry certifications are a plus.
- Valid certifications for operating heavy machinery such as aerial work platforms or telehandlers.
- Demonstrated ability to work self-sufficiently and mentor entry-level field crew members.
