The Opportunity
You will direct commercial building projects from initial pre-construction through final closeout in a high-speed environment. This leadership role gives you full ownership to run projects, make decisive operational calls, and eliminate bureaucratic delays. You will partner with an agile, close-knit team where your expertise directly shapes company growth.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Direct the project management assistant on bid solicitation, project setup, and sub-contractor selection.
- Manage full-cycle project documentation by approving RFIs, submittals, AIA contracts, and purchase orders.
- Track job costs within Sage to control project budgets and eliminate cost variances before they occur.
- Audit subcontractor payment applications and percentage-complete owner billings to safeguard margins.
- Lead pre-construction meetings and equip Superintendents with technical submittals, schedules, and scopes.
- Conduct weekly site visits to local jobsites and bi-monthly visits to out-of-state commercial projects.
- Assemble final closeout binders and operations documentation for seamless client handover.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record managing ground-up and interior commercial construction projects.
- Hands-on experience directing project administration, AIA contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Procore construction management software.
- Demonstrated ability to run jobs in a fast-paced environment with regular travel to job sites.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience tracking project job costs and financial forecasting within Sage.
- 5 or more years of commercial project management experience with a general contractor.
- Prior experience managing multi-site projects across local and regional territories.
