CSE-C Germany EHS Manager

To strengthen our sales team in Frankfurt am Main, we are looking for a CSE-C Germany EHS Manager (m/w/d) to join us as soon as possible.

Role:

This role is responsible for supporting and implementing EHS policies and programmes to ensure compliance with applicable local legislation, regulatory requirements, and corporate standards across Germany.The position will work across the field service and sales organisations, as well as business support functions, and will also play a key role in supporting EHS integration activities and providing effective business partner support to the Viessmann business in Germany.

Our functional purpose is to support Carrier's mission by creating business value through breakthrough and sustainable EHS solutions to protect our People, our Stakeholders, and our Environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and advice on all aspects of occupational health, safety, and environment for Germany services/projects/integration of acquisitions, ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other functions to achieve optimal EHS performance.
  • Support Senior Leadership in the deployment of EHS strategies and provide guidance to operational management on the prevention of workplace incidents and illnesses.
  • Promoting and ensuring adherence to Lead with Safety Commitments and actively promote EHS as a shared responsibility rooted in the right EHS culture.
  • Coach management teams to develop a deep understanding of EHS responsibilities and the business benefits of robust EHS program.
  • Oversee EHS investigations into workplace incidents to uncover root causes, identify immediate and preventative actions and capture "lessons learned".
  • Identify EHS resource needs during project proposal phase, based on project role, scale, hazard profile and technical complexity.
  • Manage prequalification, deployment, and safety performance of subcontractors.
  • Produce and deliver EHS training & development programs.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections/audits and close on corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Provide administrative support in particular the internal EHS reporting system.
  • Review and update all EHS policies procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Produce timely EHS communication in various formats (videos, in-person briefings/presentations, written communication)
  • Support EHS certification renewals.
  • This role does require travel throughout Germany on a regular basis to visit job sites and depot locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree or NEBOSH International Diploma in EHS, Engineering or relevant scientific/technical area.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive work experience gained working with organizations in field based, construction or and manufacturing operations.
  • Regulatory knowledge including safety, environmental and other regulatory standards applicable to building services industries and construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and drive change and interact cross functionally.
  • Inter-personal skills with a proven ability to influence, build effective working relationships and drive cultural change with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
  • Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal.
