About the Role

Electronics Test Technician
Overview
A growing defense and power conversion manufacturer is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of complex electronic assemblies and power systems. This individual will work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure products meet performance and reliability standards.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute in-process test procedures for circuit boards and electronic assemblies
  • Troubleshoot electronic equipment and circuit boards down to the component level
  • Support new product development efforts alongside engineering teams
  • Load and verify software as part of system testing
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and wire lists
  • Identify, document, and report recurring faults or failures
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance regarding defective components
  • Assist with equipment inspections, installations, repairs, and customer support activities
  • Follow quality management system requirements and established procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in electronic or electrical testing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience testing high-voltage power supplies
  • Power conversion or power supply experience
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Active security clearance is a plus
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics
  • Experience using electronic test equipment, including digital oscilloscopes
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience with breadboarding and prototyping
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for equipment support and customer site visits
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while testing equipment
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and work around large electrical systems
  • Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment up to approximately 35 lbs.
