About the Role

Location: Nashville, TN ***Hybrid (3:2)***
Duration: 6+ Months (potential for extension/permanent)
Compensation: $38-40/hr (40 hours/week)
Position Overview
Our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce organization, is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Accountant to provide immediate support during a period of growth and increased transaction volume. This role will play a critical part in managing month-end close, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting while ensuring the integrity of accounting operations within a high-volume online sales environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP and a background supporting e-commerce, direct-to-consumer (DTC), retail, or omnichannel businesses.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
  • Manage accounting for high-volume e-commerce transactions across multiple sales channels and marketplaces.
  • Reconcile cash receipts and settlements from payment processors such as Shopify Payments, Stripe, Amazon, PayPal, and other merchant platforms.
  • Analyze revenue, margins, freight, fulfillment, and operating expenses.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Support audit requests and prepare supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and accounting automation within NetSuite.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance OR relevant/relatable experience
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
  • NetSuite experience is required.
  • Experience supporting e-commerce, retail, consumer products, or direct-to-consumer businesses.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and general ledger management.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • Ability to work independently and quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment.
