About the Role

LHH is actively seeking an FP&A Analyst for one of our top clients in Houston! This will be a 6 month Contract opportunity with our client and will work hybrid to their office in down town Houston with access to their parking garage!
FP&A Consultant
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Consultant for a three-to-six-month assignment supporting financial planning and analysis activities for a company operating natural-gas pipeline assets. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel and financial-modeling skills, prior FP&A or budgeting experience, and the ability to work effectively with financial data, systems, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain income statements, cash-flow statements, budgets, and financial models .
  • Gather and consolidate financial information from multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Refresh and maintain recurring financial reports and analyses.
  • Review financial results and perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and expectations.
  • Identify material variances, determine when additional follow-up is required, and develop clear explanations for significant differences.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather information, validate financial results, and support financial planning activities.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and communicate financial findings clearly and effectively.
Required Qualifications
  • Approximately 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in FP&A, budgeting, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience building and working with financial models .
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
  • Prior FP&A experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances and translate financial data into meaningful explanations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The role is not intended for an entry-level candidate. Candidates with significantly more experience may also be considered, depending on overall fit and compensation expectations.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience supporting natural-gas pipeline or energy infrastructure assets is highly desirable. While pipeline industry experience is not required, it would allow the consultant to become productive more quickly.
Schedule & Location
This is a hybrid position based in Houston, Texas .
  • Monday-Wednesday: In-office
  • Thursday-Friday: Remote
  • The office remains available on remote days for employees who need access to workspace, equipment, or other resources.
  • The position is not designed to be fully remote . Limited flexibility may be considered based on the candidate's location and circumstances, but periodic in-office attendance is required due to security considerations and access to company systems.
Working Hours
Start times are generally flexible between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Employees take a one-hour lunch, with a standard nine-hour workday following arrival.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
