LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in the Paddock Hills, OH area to add a Junior Accountant to their accounting and finance team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who is looking to strengthen their general accounting experience while learning from an established team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. This position will provide exposure to month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries
- Complete general ledger, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations and research discrepancies
- Assist with accounts payable activities, payment processing, and check runs
- Prepare supporting schedules and assist with monthly financial reporting
- Review financial activity and help identify and research variances
- Maintain accurate accounting documentation and assist with audits and special projects
- Partner with internal departments to obtain information and resolve accounting-related questions
- Assist with additional accounting, reporting, and process improvement initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- At least 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred, including exposure to journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger accounting, or month-end close
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Experience with an ERP or accounting software is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Coachable, collaborative, and motivated to grow within an accounting career
Pay Details: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour
