Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with one of our clients in the Cincinnati area to recruit a Supply Chain Specialist. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in procurement, inventory control, logistics, demand planning, or supplier management. The Supply Chain Specialist will serve as a key liaison between vendors, operations, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient material flow and uninterrupted business operations.
Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
  • Analyze inventory levels and demand forecasts to ensure material availability while minimizing excess stock.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery schedules to support operational goals.
  • Coordinate purchase orders, order acknowledgments, and shipment tracking.
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, customer service, and procurement teams to resolve supply chain issues.
  • Utilize ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and planning data.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Review and analyze supply chain metrics, including inventory turns, service levels, and delivery performance.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, backorders, and supplier-related concerns.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives and vendor relationship management activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory planning, logistics, procurement, or related functions.
  • Experience working within ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or industrial experience is highly preferred.
