LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a confidential client to identify a detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy insurance defense practice. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and prior law firm experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Experience in insurance defense is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling insurance defense matters
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and track court deadlines
- Coordinate with court personnel, clients, and opposing counsel
- Organize and maintain case files, both physical and electronic
- Assist with e-filing in state and federal courts
- Handle billing, time entry, and expense reporting
- Support document production and trial preparation
Qualifications:- Prior experience working in a law firm is required
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Familiarity with litigation procedures and legal terminology
- Experience with legal software such as ProLaw, Elite, or TyMetrix is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Discretion in handling confidential information
Benefits:
Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the benefits may include PTO, medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Additionally, you may be eligible for paid leave including Paid Sick Leave or other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable. Bonus eligibility and amount are based upon company and/or individual performance.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
