About the Role
About The Role
Join our client's team as a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing sales initiatives that align with their commercial objectives. This role is pivotal in ensuring consistent implementation across all sales territories and channels, contributing significantly to the overall success of the organization.
This territory will cover up to 20 states in the Midwest and East Coast, and we prefer this person to be centrally located and close to a major airport. States such as OH, PA, IN, or KY would work or a nearby state. This person could be traveling as far east as CT and as far west as NE managing up to 9 territory sales reps.
Experience with building products is also a must.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement effective sales strategies to meet commercial goals.
Ensure consistent execution of sales initiatives across territories and channels.
Establish a sales structure that supports commercial initiatives and lead recruitment efforts.
Provide coaching and development for regional sales reps and internal sales staff.
Engage with key accounts and negotiate sales terms across various channels.
Implement and enforce competitive pricing and sales terms consistently.
Collaborate with Marketing to develop and implement promotional programs.
Qualifications
Experience in lumber and building materials.
Minimum of 5 years in sales management and 5 years in outside sales or direct revenue generation.
Proven ability in prospecting, qualifying, and closing new accounts.
Experience with CRM systems, both as a user and leader.
Work Environment
Remote position with travel required, estimated to be 50-75% for team support and client meetings.
