About the Role

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established law firm in Tallahassee, Florida, that is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is looking for long-term career growth with a respected firm.
The ideal candidate will have prior insurance defense experience and the ability to manage cases from inception through trial preparation while working closely with attorneys, clients, and experts.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a busy caseload of insurance defense matters.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Review, organize, and summarize medical records, billing records, and other case-related documents.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert consultations.
  • Maintain case calendars and litigation deadlines.
  • Conduct factual and legal research as needed.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation, witness coordination, and trial notebooks.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and court personnel.
  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of insurance defense paralegal experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida state court procedures and litigation processes.
  • Experience handling discovery, document management, and trial preparation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
  • Paralegal certificate or degree preferred but not required.

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
