About the Role

Job Title: Litigation Legal Secretary
Location: Los Angeles, CA 91403
Work Arrangement: 100% ONSITE
Employment Type: Contract to Hire/Direct Hire
Salary: Approximately $52-58k DOE Benefits may include Paid Time Off, Sick Leave, Holidays, Healthcare, Dental and Vision Coverage, and 401(k).
LHH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Assistant to join a boutique well-established litigation/ Probate and Trust and Estate firm in San Fernando area. This is a temp to hire opportunity for a professional with at least 2-3+ years of litigation support experience, including state and federal e filing, along with calendaring experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of state procedures (highly prefers federal), excellent organizational abilities, and the confidence to communicate effectively with attorneys and clients in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties
  • Prepare, file, and manage legal documents, including petitions, motions, and notices
  • Conduct legal research and gather information to support legal matters
  • Organize evidence and prepare exhibits, charts, and diagrams
  • Assist with trial, hearing, and deposition preparation
  • Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Maintain calendars, track deadlines, and provide reminders to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, DocuSign, and Dropbox
  • Minimum 2 years of probate legal assistant experience required
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of civil litigation experience, along with trust and estate and probate.
  • Hands-on experience with state court filings (federal a huge plus), procedures, and rules.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent proofreading and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and support multiple attorneys.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
