LHH is seeking a Warehouse Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a distribution client located in Indianapolis, IN. This is an opportunity to lead a warehouse and distribution operation within a stable and growing organization known for operational excellence and strong customer service. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for inventory accuracy, warehouse operations, logistics coordination, employee leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives that support efficient product flow and on-time customer deliveries. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $90,000-$115,000 per year and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
***Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead all day-to-day warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and distribution operations
- Manage warehouse personnel to ensure safe, productive, and efficient operations
- Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counting programs, audits, and inventory control procedures
- Develop and implement warehouse policies, processes, and best practices to improve operational performance
- Ensure timely and accurate receiving, put-away, order fulfillment, and shipping activities
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities with purchasing and supply chain teams
- Analyze warehouse KPIs including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, productivity, and on-time delivery metrics
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Coordinate transportation, logistics, and warehouse resources to support customer delivery requirements
- Lead workforce planning, scheduling, hiring, training, and employee development efforts
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety initiatives, and warehouse operating procedures
- Ensure proper storage, material handling, and inventory management practices are consistently followed
- Partner with leadership to support strategic initiatives related to inventory optimization, warehouse expansion, and operational effectiveness
- Utilize ERP, WMS, and inventory management systems to drive visibility and operational performance
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
- Must possess at least 5+ years of warehouse and/or distribution center leadership experience within the building materials, building supply, wholesale distribution, or related industries
- Must have experience managing warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities
- Must have a proven track record of improving inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and operational performance
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, barcode scanning, and inventory control processes strongly preferred
- Experience managing warehouse KPIs, productivity metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced distribution and warehousing environment
