Our client in the Greensboro area is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants the chance to transition into a permanent role.
What You'll Do- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
- Match invoices to receipts and supporting documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records and respond to payment inquiries
- Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
- Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and accounting teams
What We're Looking For- 3+ years of recent Accounts Payable experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices
- Experience processing invoices in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and data analysis
- ERP/accounting software experience required
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Pay Details: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
