Troy, Michigan that is seeking a
Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a

The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and related accounting records
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support business operations and financial reporting
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close activities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP or accounting software systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting environment
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Experience supporting audits and financial statement preparation
