Fiscal Monitoring Consultant Part-Time Remote
LHH recruitment solutions is hiring a fiscal monitoring consultant to oversee financial compliance and monitoring activities for approximately 25 grant-funded agencies. This consultant will serve as a financial compliance resource, ensuring participating agencies adhere to grant requirements and allowable expenditure guidelines.
Schedule & Work Arrangement· Approximately 7-8 hours per week
· Approximately 32 hours per month
· Primarily 100% remote
· Flexible schedule with occasional availability during standard business hours to collaborate with agency accounting personnel
Key Responsibilities· Conduct fiscal monitoring reviews of grant-funded agencies
· Perform mini-audit style examinations of agency financial records
· Review general ledgers, supporting documentation, and financial transactions
· Select and test transaction samples for compliance
· Verify expenditures meet federal, state, local, and CSC funding requirements
· Assess financial controls and compliance practices
· Work directly with multiple external agencies and accounting teams
Preferred Qualifications· CPA designation strongly preferred
· Public accounting or audit background
· Experience as an Audit Senior, Compliance Auditor, Governmental Accountant, or Grant Compliance professional
· Experience working with government-funded programs and regulatory requirements
· Familiarity with CSC or similar grant-funded environments
